The provincial transit agency advises those planning to travel to Long Branch, Mimico or Exhibition stations on Oct. 23 and Nov. 6 to take MiWay or TTC. One of Renfrew long-standing restaurants is closing its doors for good.After years of providing Renfrew residents with a local dining option, Flamingo Restaurant owner had announced it will shut down permanently.The COVID-19 pandemic that began in mid-March caused the restaurant to temporarily close. It did reopen for takeout and contactless delivery earlier this month, but according to Jennifer Fisher, owner since August, this labour did not bear much fruit and Flamingos will remain closed even after the crisis passes.
